The published weekly rate on agency websites is built for one or two week stays during high season. Long stays follow a different math. Past four weeks, agencies negotiate. Past eight weeks, the rate drops further. A full season (six months) is sometimes structured as a contract with a discounted weekly equivalent.
Through partnerships with the leading rental agencies in St Barthélemy, the long stay rates we send are often meaningfully lower than the rack rate would imply for the same duration.
Phase one is the long stay villa shortlist with negotiated rate. Phase two is the on-island concierge. Co-working setup with fast wifi, gym membership at L'Hôtel Le Toiny gym, school enrollment for the kids, weekly housekeeping rhythm, dog or cat friendly arrangements.

For a four week stay, agencies typically discount ten to twenty percent versus the rack weekly rate. For an eight week stay, twenty to thirty five percent. Full season (October to April or longer) is structured separately and can drop further depending on the villa, the owner's appetite for stable occupancy, and the timing of the inquiry.
Shoulder season (April through June, October through mid-December) gives the best rate-to-experience ratio. The weather is excellent, the island is calmer, the agencies are eager for long bookings. High season (mid-December through March) is harder to sustain on a long stay because Christmas and New Year weeks command holiday rates and break the long stay arithmetic.
Most newer villas have fiber and reliable wifi suitable for video calls and large file transfers. A handful of older villas still rely on slower DSL. Mention work needs in the form and the shortlist filters on villas with confirmed fiber and a usable workspace.
Yes. The island has a French elementary and middle school, an international school option, and several parents arrange remote schooling supplemented by local tutors. We share contacts on request.
Some villas allow pets, others do not. Tell us in the form and the shortlist filters. Bringing a pet to St Barthélemy requires the standard EU/French paperwork (microchip, rabies vaccination, vet certificate). The local concierge has the latest version.
Yes, sometimes useful when high season weeks fall in the middle. The pattern: shoulder villa for the first stretch, switch to a smaller or different villa for the holiday weeks, switch back. We coordinate the moves and the storage of luggage between transitions.
