Three to six months out, the inventory thins quickly, especially for villas with five or more bedrooms, ocean views, or walking distance to Gustavia. If your dates are flexible by a day or two on either side, mention it in your request, this often opens up better options and better Christmas rates. Christmas and New Year together form the highest demand fortnight of the St Barth calendar. Yacht traffic peaks, restaurants are fully booked, the island population multiplies, and villas command premium weekly rates. Most rental agencies operate a holiday pricing tier from late December through early January with a strict seven night minimum. The good news: through direct partnerships with these agencies, the prices we send are often lower than the rates the agencies show publicly.
Almost every villa in St Barthélemy enforces a seven night minimum across the Christmas and New Year window, with a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday turnover.
